In the world of relational databases today, transactional and analytical data are typically stored in separate systems. This is because these types of data require different methods of processing, storing and utilizing data. However, this approach leads to issues such as architectural complexities, data silos and delayed data access.

Snowflake’s Unistore addresses these challenges by bringing together analytical and transactional data in a single platform called the AI Data Cloud. As part of the Unistore workload, Snowflake has introduced a feature called hybrid tables, which enables fast, single-row operations and allows customers to build transactional business applications directly on the Snowflake platform.
